| First off, the original movie got the car enthusiast (I use that term lightly) crows to get off their asses and fork over a ton of money to see that flick. Even those disgusted with it paid the money to point and laugh (Motec System Exhaust!). So you're the guy trying to figure out how to broaden things for round two. You start with the obvious...more special effects, bigger accidents and LOTS of people from MTV. But then you have to deal with the cars. Figure it this way. Every city from Malibu to Manhattan has riced out cars in SOME sort. The only way to make the cars "stand out" in a movie like this (especially after the first one) is to put them SO FAR OVER THE TOP that they scream compared to what prowls the streets. As Metallica one said, "Sad but true". Man I hate Hollywood sometimes =)
